ALDI Ireland has confirmed that it will be extending its opening hours for the festive period.
In the run-up to the busy Christmas season, Aldi is offering shoppers more time to pick up the last-minute essentials ahead of the big day.
Stores will welcome shoppers from 8am until 11pm over the Christmas weekend.
Stores will also be open until 7pm on Christmas Eve, but customers are advised to check details of their local stores online to avoid disappointment.
And Aldi confirmed that it will be closing their stores on Christmas and St Stephen’s Day.
A spokesperson explained: “Aldi will close its stores as usual on Christmas Day and will once again remain closed on St Stephen’s Day to allow colleagues get a much-needed break – as it has always done since opening in Ireland almost 25 years ago.”
The majority of stores will be open from 9am until 9pm between Christmas and New Year.
And doors will not shut until 7pm on New Year’s Eve – so shoppers can squeeze in some last-minute shopping before 2024.
Aldi Managing Director of Buying and Services Colin Breslin said: “By extending our opening hours in the run up to Christmas, we can ensure that our customers have time to stock up on everything they need for an amazing Christmas.
“It is really important that shoppers can avail of our award-winning range of food and drink offerings at market leading prices, as well as select from our wide range of Specialbuys that will make the perfect stocking filler this Christmas.”
He added: “We also would like to acknowledge and thank our dedicated colleagues who consistently deliver an excellent shopping experience to members of their local communities every day, and even more so during the busy Christmas period.
“To allow everyone have a well-earned break, we will be maintaining our tradition of keeping our stores closed on St Stephen’s Day.”
Aldi customers can also book their Christmas collection slot online from 17th November, with 20 stores offering ALDI’s Click and Collect service between 20th and 23rd December.
